Greetings!
The Los Angeles Film School was founded with a goal to become one of the top learning centers in the world. Today, our undergraduates come from Mexico, Brazil, England, Sweden, Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Spain, Italy and many other countries! It’s a list that keeps growing. Being an international student that studied in Europe and Latin America, I understand the importance of multiculturalism in education and take pride in the fact that our program welcomes students from all walks of life. PROFILE
Founded in 1999, The Los Angeles Film School is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Recognized as one of the best private learning centers in the country, LAFS provides a unique accelerated degree education.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
The Los Angeles Film School offers four Associate in Science Programs in Computer Animation, Film, Game Production and Audio, and one Bachelor of Science Program in Entertainment Business.
CAMPUS LIFE
The Los Angeles Film School campus is in the heart of Hollywood, a city known as the Entertainment Capital of the world. The climate is mild and temperate year round. Typical days include 23 degree Celsius temperatures. The College is easily accessible to a number of theaters, music, restaurants and museum facilities as well as fun-filled spots like Hollywood and Highland and Universal Studios.
HOUSING

FACILITIES AND SERVICES
The Los Angeles Film School has fully equipped facilities, labs and soundstages. A student lounge and library are also available to students. The campus also features a THX-certified 345-seat theater and additional screening rooms.

ADMISSIONS
The academic calendar includes monthly enrollment and graduation. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis prior to each month. Application deadlines and start dates are listed by clicking here.
The Los Angeles Film School welcomes applications from all international students. International students may be considered for admission if they:
1. Meet all requirements for acceptance to The Los Angeles Film School.
2. Have a sufficient command of the English language to benefit from the program (all our programs are taught in the English language).
3. Are in possession of sufficient funds to cover all your expenses while studying in the USA or have sufficient funds that will be made available to you by a sponsor (family member or other individual or entity) to cover all your expenses while in the USA.
Once accepted, students will receive a letter and an enrollment packet.
F-1 VISA STATUS
The Los Angeles Film School is authorized under United States of America's federal law to enroll non-immigrant students. Foreign students must first obtain the appropriate student Visa allowing a foreign national to study in the United States. This student Visa can be obtained from the US Embassy or US Consulate servicing the area in which the foreign student resides.
For international students, The Los Angeles Film School’s Enrollment Coordinator can provide assistance and guidance in the acquisition of requisite student visas. In addition our Student Services office offers international students assistance in the completion and submission of requisite forms to apply for visa status changes, status extensions and temporary work authorizations for the purposes of pursuing Optional Post-Graduation Practical Training.
Once admitted into any of The Los Angeles Film School’s degree programs, international applicants will need to acquire a student visa to study in the United States.
The appropriate student visa for The Los Angeles Film School is an F1 visa, unless applicants are Fulbright scholars. Information about how to acquire the F1 student visa is provided to international students upon admission to the program.
In order to expedite this process, international applicants are encouraged to submit these documents along with the application for admission.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
International students interested in applying to The Los Angeles Film School must have their academic credentials evaluated through one of the following International Foreign Credentials Evaluation Services.

The Los Angeles Film School requires candidates to use one of the above mentioned services in order to verify that candidates have completed the equivalent of a U.S. secondary education. Please note that we only need the Document-to-Document evaluation – this evaluation names and describes diplomas, certificates, degrees, periods of education or training and will give the U.S. equivalencies for each.
