Animayo 2014
Since 2006, the International Film Festival ofAnimation, Visual Effects and Videogames ANIMAYO has consolidated itself as the best festival of animation and visual effects in Spain.
Headed by its director and producer Damián Perea, Animayo invites to look around through the most up-dated selection of animated and visual effects works from all over the world. Almost 2000 aplicants a year try to be in the short list of 180 works for the official film selection.
This is our 5th presentation in the city of Los Angeles C.A. “the very best of the Festival Animayo” and we are proud to present Animayo Awards 2013. This program has been showing in two of the most important studios in the cinematographic industry,Dreamworks Animation and Walt Disney Studios, and with own event organized at the Aidikoff Screening Room, in Rodeo Drive.

Animayo promotes an audiovisual growth through a program based on: Official Section, International Guests, Master Classes, Courses and Workshops.
We have had figures of visual effects as Tobias Mannewitz (Emmy award for “Game of Thrones”), Ryan Woodward (“Spiderman”, “Ironman”, “The Iron Giant” Alex Lemke (“Troy”, “Captain America “), Roger Kupelian (matte painting of” the Lord of the Rings “), among others. And in the field of animation we have paid homage to Carlos Saldanha (co-founder of Blue Sky Studios and director of “Ice Age”, “Robots”, “Rio”), Alexander Petrov (Oscar winner for his work “The Old Man and the Mar “), Carlos Grangel (character designer at Dreamworks or Tim Burton) and Bill Plympton (recognized and rewarded independent author).
