Music Licensing Company Seeks Interns

***L.A. MUSIC LICENSING COMPANY SEEKING INTERNS***
Are you interested in learning about music placement for film, television and video game projects?
Are you interested in learning about music publishing, licensing, and royalties?
**We are looking for interns to assist in music licensing**
Duties include (but not limited to):
*Research master/publishing owners for songs; previous music usage for TV series; Youtube; Film/TV info searches
*Music submissions and evaluation (loading & tagging music, sending music via zip files includes categorization of music received)
*Assist with client publishing and performing rights societies’ administration (BMI, ASCAP)
*Assist in regular office operations
We are looking for:
– Excellent communication skills and basic computer knowledge
– Out of office ability to listen to music for loading, tagging, evaluation and categorization
– Must have your own headphones and wireless-ready laptop computer to bring into office
– Must have reliable transportation
– Tech savvy a big plus – bonus if you are knowledgeable about Dropbox and/or Hightail

*This is a non-paying position; college credit and/ or experience only. ¬
Great way to learn about songwriter/master owner rights, royalties, publishing, licensing, etc. . . .
* Although hours and schedule are flexible, internship is during normal music/film business hours
(M-F 10:30am- 6:30pm are hours of operation).
We are open to whatever your schedule will allow within those hours, but do require at least working one day in our office per week.
Office is on Wilshire & La Brea in Hollywood/Miracle Mile area.
