Paul Oakenfold’s DJ Camp Returns To LARS

The Los Angeles Recording School is proud to host Paul Oakenfold’s DJ Camp, an intensive course on the dance music industry lead by the legendary DJ. The five day camp will include classes taught by prominent industry specialists, experienced LA Recording School instructors and Paul Oakenfold himself. In addition to the courses, attendees will have an opportunity to audition with Paul Oakenfold for a spot on his US tour, sit in on a taping of an episode of SKEE TV for Fuse TV, and one talented graduate will earn a place in the lineup for Bass Camp Festival 2016.

This is an amazing opportunity to learn all aspects of the electronic music industry from the people who are currently thriving in it. Guest speakers include:

• Paul Oakenfold – legendary DJ and producer.
• Dave Audė – remix artist/producer.
• Joe Carlone – attorney for the entertainment industry.
• Jeff “Retro” Hill – Resident DJ in Las Vegas at Hakkasan Nightclub, WET Republic Ultra Pool and the Omnia Nightclub at Caesars Palace.
• Jason Kadlec – manager of online marketing for Bassnectar, Amon Tobin and Bass Camp.
• Daniel Mendoza – Manager of Content Development at The Recording Academy.
• Matt Meyer – talent agent at AM Only.
• Nelly Neban – co-managing director of Axis Artists Management Inc.
• Jon Pleeter – Vice President of Concerts & Festivals at International Creative Management.
• Paul Reder – Bass Camp Festival Founder
• Michael Smidi – Emmy-Award winning producer/songwriter

Attendees will learn the Art of the Mix (DJ’ing 101), In-studio Production (Breaking it down), Publishing, Licensing, Marketing, Social Media, Radio and Agents and Management. They will have one-on-one access to industry leaders and a chance for solid mentoring on all aspects of their music career. The Los Angeles Recording School is even offering a tuition discount for any attendees who wish to continue their studies by enrolling at LARS.

DJ Camp attendees will be provided with breakfast and lunch during the camp. Highlights from the program will include a DJ competition at the historic Avalon Nightclub in Hollywood, a live taping of SKEE TV and the closing ceremony with awards.
