Film Program Student Andre Andrews’ New Smartphone App iTonight

Navy Veteran and Film Program Alum Andre Andrews just launched the new smartphone app titled “iTonight” that essentially “…looks to reinvent by eliminating spam emails, text messages, phone calls and Facebook events.” It is available for download on the Apple app market. Andre describes the app as “A better way to party in LA” since there is so much going on in the City of Angels. iTonight offers exclusive check-in deals, access to exclusive events as well as an audio player that streams new music from artists and DJs. Andre has already inked a partnership with Justin Incredible from Power 106.

Phase 1 of development has been providing event data for the Hollywood/Los Angeles markets. Phase 2 is currently in the works to expand to other cities, and Phase 3 is expanding internationally. The process of developing the app was quite simple. Andre hired overseas programmers to code the app and asked our very own Computer Animation alum Josh Harris to design it. Although it took a bit longer than expected to get the app in the Apple market, Andre is quite happy with the final product and is continuing to design and shape the app as he works on user acquisition.

Considering Andre is a Navy Vet, Film Alum and current Computer Animation student, he shows the determination and tenacity to make any endeavor a success. Congrats Andre!
