Examiner Calls The LA Film School One of the Hottest Spots in Town

Guest Speakers at LAFS
The Los Angeles Film School served host to a number of guest speakers in recent months. Some notable guests have included:
Jon Cassar
Jon Cassar, who directed and executive produced Fox’s dramatic thriller, “24,” visited the Los Angeles Film School to talk about his work on the series in which he earned two Emmy Awards, for “Outstanding Drama Series” and “Outstanding Directing,” as well as a Directors Guild of America (DGA) Award for “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series.”
Cassar is also the author of and photographer for "24: Behind the Scenes," a photography book that shows behind-the-scenes moments from "24" over its first five seasons.
Peter Chiarelli
Writer of Sandra Bullock's new romantic comedy The Proposal, Peter Chiarelli, screened his film which was followed by a Q&A session.

Linda Goldstein
Producer Linda Goldstein Knowlton (The World According to Sesame Street and Whale Rider) and members of Participant Media served as guest speakers during a LAFS Media & Society Class.
Tommy Imperato
Renowned film professional Tommy Imperato spoke to a LAFS graduating class during a recent graduation ceremony. Imperato, who associate produced Devil in a Blue Dress, and held executive positions at Paramount, 20th Century Fox and New Regency Productions, gave some sound advice to the aspiring filmmakers during his speaking appearance.

After 30 years of bringing stories to the screen, Howard Rosenman brought his seminar, “The Hollywood Sell” to The Los Angeles Film School.
Rosenman, who has earned two Peabody Awards, an Academy Award, an Emmy nomination and top honors at the Sundance, Berlin and Cannes film festivals, has worked on a number of popular favorites, such as Father of the Bride, A Stranger among Us, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Family Ma, and You Kill Me.

Beyond the Secret
The LAFS main theater served host to a screening of Beyond the Secret, a follow up to the best-selling novel The Secret. The screening was followed by a Q&A with a panel of experts that were involved in making the film, including Bob Proctor and Holli Walker.
