Examiner Calls The LA Film School One of the Hottest Spots in Town

LAFS grad Brian Taylor with Director of Education
Graduates Return to Screen Feature Films
Los Angeles Film School graduates Brian Taylor and James Cotten each returned to screen their latest projects in the LAFS main theater. Both screenings were followed by insightful Q&A sessions with the grads and students.
Taylor, who screened his box office hit Gamer which he co-wrote and co-directed, gave sound advice to students about what it takes to get your film on the big screen. He also talked about his work on his two other big name features he wrote and directed, Crank and Crank: High Voltage.

“You have to always strive to do better than your last film,” Taylor said to LAFS students. “Each time I take on a new film, I look to top the last one I made.”
Graduate James Cotten screened Resurrection County, which he wrote and produced. He later talked about what it was like putting together his second feature film during a Q&A with cast members. Cotten has also recently released a third major film, La Linea, which he directed and stars Ray Liotta.
