Recent LAFS Happenings
It has been a busy couple of months at The Los Angeles Film School, as a number of events and screenings hit its campus. A few of the recent events include:
KIDS MONSTER BASH
Staff and students brought their kids in costume to celebrate the first LAFS/LARS Kids Halloween Monster Bash. The LAFS Brain Lobby was full of games, craft tables, face painting and some spooky treats. Girls from the Maryvale Orphanage were also in attendance.
DUE DATE SCREENING
The LAFS main theater screened the hilarious new comedy Due Date followed by a Q&A with screenwriters Alan R. Cohen, Alan Freedland and Adam Sztykiel.

TOY STORY 3 SCREENING
The LAFS main theater hosted a screening of Pixar and Disney's latest smash hit film, Toy Story 3 which was followed by a Q&A with Oscar winning screenwriter Michael Arndt.

RED SCREENING
The LAFS main theater screened new film RED followed by a Q&A with screenwriting brothers Jon and Erich Hoeber.

EASTBOUND & DOWN SCREENING
The LAFS main theater screened an episode of HBO’s “Eastbound & Down” followed by a Q&A with co-writer/director Jody Hill and co-writer, star, Danny McBride.

MONSTERS SCREENING
The LAFS main theater hosted a screening of Monsters. The stars of the film Whitney Able and Scoot McNairy were on hand for a Q&A after the screening.

THE IDIOTS SCREENING
The LAFS main theater screened Lars von Trier's The Idiots which was named top 100 "Best Films of World Cinema" by Empire Magazine.
