And Once Again, Netflix Crushes the Competition

The 72nd Emmy nominations were announced on Tuesday, and the streaming battle blazed among the top contenders—Netflix, HBO and NBC. Netflix broke the record for most Emmy nominations of any network, studio or streaming platform with 160 nominations. HBO held onto bragging rights for Watchmen, which received 20 Emmy nominations, the highest of all programs. Ozark led the charge for Netflix’s programming with 18 nominations, including Lead Actor, Jason Batman, and Lead Actress, Laura Linney. The competition is fierce and we’d like to recognize the talented alumni who have contributed to the success of these Emmy-nominated shows.

More than 30 LAFS alumni worked on 35 productions, which earned 193 Emmy nominations across a variety of streaming networks.

Congrats to these amazing individuals who continue to shape the entertainment industry! Many of our alumni have worked on shows that are currently streaming on HBO, Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. See the full list of where to stream our alumni work.
