Daniel Zaidenstadt is a Master of Music

Daniel Zaidenstadt has a good time when he’s in the studio. As a record producer and recording engineer, Daniel’s job is to make the artists he works with feel and sound their best. He strikes a balance between creating good vibes in the recording studio while also getting the job done. Each session is unique and requires the expertise of a recording engineer to seamlessly match the artist’s vocals to the instrumentals on a track. Over his 10-year music career, Daniel has contributed to more than 30 RIAA Gold and Platinum albums and countless #1 hits. Daniel has worked with top artists like Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and Zayn Malik. Fun fact: Daniel sang backup vocals on one of Bruce Springsteen’s tracks for his 2014 album High Hopes.

Part of Daniel’s success is the infectious energy he brings to his studio sessions. Spend any amount of time with Daniel, and you can feel the cosmic creativity he exudes while navigating the mixing board. Every recording session is different and Daniel wears multiple hats (producer and engineer).

During our Zoom interview, Daniel shared that in order to have a successful studio session the artist needs to feel at ease. He calls it the “Randy Jackson method” when producing an artist. Most artists base their worth solely on their singing talents. It’s a producer’s job to make the artist feel like they are the most talented person in a room. Music industry veteran Randy Jackson is known for doing just that. He is the master at making artists feel their best in the recording studio and giving constructive compliments as feedback. Daniel mirrors this method in his own sessions and has found success working with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

How Daniel Zaidenstadt Acheived Success in the Music Industry

Growing up in Tel Aviv, Daniel wasn’t exposed to American music genres like rap and hip hop until he made the trek to the United States. While studying music at The L.A. Recording School, Daniel collaborated with students from other programs and got to experience popular American music firsthand. After graduating, he worked as an assistant in recording studios around Hollywood. This was an early turning point in Daniel’s music career. If you are lucky enough to even be in the studio recording with an artist, you are already ahead of the game, says Daniel. Hard work and a lot of talent have bolstered Daniel’s recording career. He is currently focused on producing and has recently worked with Carly Rae Jepsen, Jessie J and Zahn Malik. Daniel lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two adorable dogs Honey Badger and Samantha.
