Save the Date for Our Biggest Campus Festival Coming September 16 – 20


LAFS FAME WEEK

We’re partying like it’s 1999! Join us for our F.A.M.E. WEEK, which honors our school’s legacy in the entertainment industry! This month, we’re welcoming the entire LAFS community including current students, faculty, staff and alumni to attend our events during F.A.M.E. WEEK. Starting on Monday, September 16, 2019, there will be a series of events all themed around our degree programs, including Q&A panels with entertainment industry professionals, outdoor screenings, art battles, giveaways, and food trucks featuring a taste of Los Angeles.

F.A.M.E. Week will culminate with the Spotlight Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 20, 2019, which will honor five alumni who have had tremendous success in their fields of the entertainment industry. Students will be able to watch the ceremony via live stream at designated viewing parties on campus.

Platinum Record Ceremony: Alumni Henrique Andrade

About Event:

Writers Panel discussion with alumni authors from diverse genres detailing their writing and publishing experiences followed by a book signing. Q&A with Simone Bartesaghi, Khara Campbell, Rylend Grant, Julian Lara and Julian Starks.


Animation Alumni Clio Award Winners Panel

About Event:

Alumni and Clio Award winners Greg Bolton, Chris Evans and Louis Kaufman discuss making Can You Walk The Walk? Virtual Reality Experience and their subsequent Clio Award win. The Clio Awards is an annual award program that recognizes innovation and creative excellence in advertising, design and communication, as judged by an international panel of advertising professionals.


Gold Record Ceremony: Alumni Nick Henriques

Instructor Donna Loyd will lead a panel discussion about the making of PSA Your Sight, Our Vision and subsequent Telly Award win and Emmy nomination. The Telly Award honors excellence in video and television across all screens.
