Hannah Lux Davis Dominates The VMAs

Hannah Lux Davis

Hannah Lux Davis proves once again to be one of the most in-demand talents in the music video industry

The 2019 MTV Video Music Award nominations are in, and 2006 Film alumna Hannah Lux Davis has racked up eight nominations leading up the big awards show on Monday, August 26.

Hannah’s rise as a music video-directing superstar has been met with both critical and audience success. She also isn’t a stranger to the MTV Video Music Awards. Hannah has won two Video Music Awards for her work directing the Lil Wayne music video for his track, Love Me, in 2013. She also won at the 2014 VMAs for directing Miss Movin’ On, by Fifth Harmony. In addition to her wins, Hannah has worked on four VMA-nominated music videos. We strongly suspect that this number will continue to rise as Hannah continues to reach new creative heights with her work.

Hannah spoke with MTV News earlier this month to talk about the VMAs and her work with Ariana Grande.

Update: Congratulations to Ariana Grande for winning Artist of the Year and Song of the Summer for Boyfriend at the 2019 MTV VMAs. Hannah Lux Davis has directed eight of Ariana’s music videos since they started working together in 2014.
