Top 50 Film Schools in the U.S.

We’re Honored to be Named One of The Wrap’s Top Film Schools

The Los Angeles Film School (LAFS) was listed in The Wrap Magazine’s “Top 50 U.S. Film Schools” for the second year in a row. The Wrap News Inc. is a leading digital-first news organization covering the business of entertainment and media via digital, print and live events. We’re honored to snag a spot in the October 2018 College Issue as one of the best film schools in the Nation.

This past year, many of our illustrious alumni have showcased the LAFS legacy through their award nominations and wins at some of Hollywood’s most prestigious ceremonies. At the 2018 Emmys, 48 LAFS alumni worked on 154 Emmy-nominated shows including 27 winners. Jordan Wilby, a sound FX editor and recording school alumnus, personally won an Emmy for his sound editing on Netflix’s Stranger Things. And at the 2018 Oscars, three alumni from The L.A. Film School worked on Oscar-winning productions including I, Tonya, Get Out and Icarus.

At the L.A. Film School, students experience the art of storytelling through filmmaking here in Hollywood. Our location makes us unique, and our degree programs offer invaluable industry experience to every student who walks through our doors. We are committed to connecting our students and alumni to the entertainment community through ongoing partnerships with local studios, Hollywood executives and talented artists in the industry.
