The Los Angeles Film School presents

The Reel Pitch Workshop:

How to Sell your Project on the Page,

Screen + In-Person

with award-winning producer Carolyn McDonald

6363 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood CA, 90028

B1 Main Theatre

Saturday, June 15, 2019

11:00AM – 2:00PM

Pitching begins during a project’s inception, long before you get in front of any buyer — whether crowdfunding donor, production executive or distributor. In fact, the right words and images need to be delivered to get you into a room where it could happen for you. Once there, you need to know what to say to get what you want. The Reel Pitch Workshop prepares you for it all!

The Reel Pitch helps filmmakers:

~ Establish relationships with outstanding correspondence

~ Earn the trust of buyers & investors

~ Compose engaging tag lines, log lines & synopses

~ Hold an effective 10-to-20 minute pitch meeting

~ Design compelling memorable artwork

~ Produce an evocative mood, sizzle or pitch reel

~ Compile a vibrant look book/deck

~ Create a thorough series bible

~ Know when to speak or listen in a meeting

Carolyn is the NAACP Image award-winning producer of HBO’s “America’s Dream” and Emmy nominated films ”Buffalo Soldiers” & ”Freedom Song” for TNT. She began her career out of NYU in Warner Bros TV Advertising/Publicity, then was a creative executive at Cinecom before running Danny Glover’s Carrie Productions for 10 years. As a writer/filmmaker, she has written scripts for multiple platforms & formats, directed short films, music videos & documentaries. As a successful content creator, buyer and seller, she has developed a method to help you confidently pitch your project in writing, in visuals, and in-person.

****This ticket does not guarantee a seat ****

We take a larger number of RSVPs than seats available to compensate for the no-show percentage so all seating is first come first serve. If tickets are sold out you are welcome to show up and you will be seated if room becomes available. LA Film School students / staff / faculty / alumni, please line up inside the theatre lobby. Use of cell phones or computers during the screening is strictly prohibited and you will be asked to leave.
