Martin Pensa is an Oscar-nominated film editor best known for his work on the 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club starring Matthew McConaughey. Growing up in Montreal, Canada, Martin loved movies from a young age. He expanded his passion for film after enrolling in the film program here at The Los Angeles Film School. He is the first alumni to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Achievement in Film Editing. That year, Dallas Buyers Club won three Oscars including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Makeup and Hairstyling. In 2012, Martin won a Genie Award for Best Achievement in Visual Effects for the movie Café de Flore (2011).
Martin has editing credits on other notable film projects such as Wild with Reese Witherspoon (2014), Fast Color (2019) and A Million Little Pieces (2018).
