Create Your Future in Film
Every aspect of film production turns abstract ideas into what you see on the silver screen. In today’s stream-heavy world where content is king, experienced filmmakers and production crews are in high demand. Are you ready to transition from a film novice to a skilled filmmaker?
Earn your Bachelor of Science Degree in Film Production. As a student, you’ll be exposed to every stage of film production through a theoretical and gear-centric curriculum.
- Our Bachelor of Science in Film Production Degree with a concentration in Production is 120 credit hours and 36 months in length.
- Each class is studied exclusively during a four-week period allowing students to focus on one particular subject at a time.
Explore the world of line producing, production management, and the infrastructure of various forms of production. Students learn how to plan and execute a successful production in its entirety. Students expand their understanding of how to breakdown a script, the scheduling process, budgeting, casting, crewing and location scouting in this course.
Advanced Grip & Electric
Acquire the necessary skills used by the grip and electric departments on a film set. Students study and practice the use of a variety of advanced grip and electric equipment including large overhead frames, rigging equipment, stands, booms, jibs and electrical meters. Throughout this course, students master the operational tools and gear that are intrinsic to the film production industry.
Learn to use non-linear editing techniques in professional post-production film environments. Students learn about editing theory, color correction, compositing, post-production organization and hierarchy, with a focus on collaboration and the project pipeline from start to finish.
You’ll use the same equipment used by the pros. We outfit you with a retina display MacBook laptop loaded with software including: Avid Media Composer, Final Draft, Movie Magic Budgeting, Movie Magic Scheduling, Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.*
