Joey Singer started her music business career at Stage Three Music, a boutique music publisher representing the catalogues of many beloved artists, including Aerosmith, ZZ Top, The Decemberists, and Jesca Hoop. While at Stage Three Music, Joey assisted in pitching the company’s catalogue for film and TV opportunities, and signed the band Jukebox the Ghost to a publishing deal. After Stage Three was acquired by BMG, Joey was hired by Robin Kaye, music supervisor for American Idol, to work on a handful of reality competition series. Subsequently, Joey served as music coordinator on The Voice with music clearance legend Jill Meyers. Over the next few years, Joey began to build her own clientele until she was approached by music supervisor Liza Richardson (KCRW, Y tu mamá también, The Leftovers) to handle clearance on all her projects. In 2015, Joey started her own company, Crystal Cleared Music, Inc., and continues to build her clientele of music supervisors and studios while offering a variety of clearance services for film, television, and commercials.
