The Los Angeles Film School invites you to a Q&A
with RnBass and Maurice Moore
Wednesday, June 13th
Doors open: 6pm
Start time: 7pm
Founder of RnBass J Maine will be coming to the LA Film School! Don’t miss this rare opportunity for a chance to learn from one of the industry’s best. J Maine offers insight on how to break into the music industry and find success. On the opposite side, verified artist Maurice Moore, who will also be joining us, knows the ins and outs on how to be successful as an independent artist.
Bio
Maurice Moore immediately sets the mood by slipping past all boundaries. The Ottawa, Canada singer, songwriter, and producer integrates bright pop appeal and rap-style humor into tight R&B songcraft on his independent 2017 debut, The Amber Room. Flipping the script comes naturally for him as he credits this innate knack for blurring lines to a unique heritage.
Jarred Jermaine Gazarian, professionally known as J Maine, is an American record producer and visionary from San Francisco, California, now based in Los Angeles, California. J Maine is best known for coining RnBass, an evolving music genre popularized over the more recent years of RnB. His credits also include producing “BDY On Me” for Omarion.
J Maine was born in San Francisco, California. From 2005 to 2006, J Maine interned at 106 KMEL during the hyphy movement, and went on to becoming intern of the year. While working at a T-Mobile and living in the Bay Area, J Maine was persuaded by his friend Tarik Bourdoud to pursue a professional music career in Los Angeles. J Maine familiarized himself with the LA music scene by working at Power 106, where he was eventually fired from. As he continued to develop his production sound, J Maine began to utilize social media properties, like Twitter and Instagram, to network with bigger producers and promote RnBass artists. He also started a website, soundcloud and youtube channel for the brand which eventually grew and gained popularity.
****This ticket does not guarantee a seat ****
We take a larger number of RSVPs than seats available to compensate for the no-show percentage so all seating is first come first serve. If tickets are sold out you are welcome to show up and you will be seated if room becomes available. LA Film School students / staff / faculty / alumni, please line up inside the theatre lobby. Use of cell phones or computers during the screening is strictly prohibited and you will be asked to leave.
If you feel you are unable to stand in line for a long period of time, we kindly request that you take a seat on the benches in the B1 theatre lobby and have your guest stand in line to secure a spot. Then when guest/s arrive to the point where they can enter and check in, you will walk in with your guest. Unfortunately, no one will be allowed in before the doors officially open, since we have to give the production team time to set up and test the equipment without an audience.
