Vets Mentoring Vets

All veteran students are invited to take part in Vets Monitoring Vets (VMV), an association dedicated to Improving the lives of military veterans and their families through employment, education, and leadership utilizing grants and direct funding of employment opportunities in media, arts, and entertainment. VMV was created by a group of military veterans who have been involved in volunteering with and mentoring other veterans to help increase their civilian skills, and assist in the military to civilian work transition. Following their last event, 25% of VMV’s participants obtained work within a month of the workshop.

Collectively, the operational directors of Vets Mentoring Vets have over 50 years of experience in the entertainment industry and have been involved in all aspects of film and television production. By bringing together working studios and numerous other industry professionals,  Vets Mentoring Vets is able to provide our former service members with the skills necessary for a long, successful, and satisfying career in their chosen profession. The self discipline and confidence of the men and women who have so faithfully and fearlessly served our country deserves to be rewarded with our continued support.

Sony was so excited about this initiative that they invited a lot of department heads and more producers and people from DGA to attend the networking event on the last night, which is open exclusively to completers of the program.

This training is FREE for all vet attendees!
