CINE PitchFest Is Coming!

Coming to LAFS this fall: CINE PitchFest, presented by A&E!

CINE is giving five producers the chance of a lifetime — to pitch their dream projects to a panel of A&E and industry executives in front of a live audience.

Panelists will critique each presentation, and the winner of the session held at LAFS on November 2 will get a formal pitch meeting with A&E executives — so impress them and you may have yourself a deal.

At CINE, we honor unique storytelling, and that’s exactly what the A&E panelists are looking for: visceral, provocative, original storytelling that takes you outside of your comfort zone and onto the edge of your seat.

Does that describe your big idea? Find out more and apply to pitch at www.cine.org/pitchfest

Students, check your school email for information about a special discount!

Submissions are due by August 12, 2016.

About Cine Pitchfest
Since 1957, CINE has honored and championed the best in film, television and digital media — displaying a particular knack for championing impressive rising talent. In 2015, we partnered with sponsor A&E to launch CINE PitchFest, a program that gives 25 emerging producers the opportunity to pitch their dream projects to a panel of network reps, agents, filmmakers and A&E executives. At sessions in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin and Washington, DC, emerging producers get five minutes each to make their best pitch. Each panel critiques the presentations — Shark Tank -style — and selects a winning producer for each session, who receives a formal pitch meeting with A&E executives. Each panel is held in front of a live audience of local filmmakers and students — all getting a crash course in how to pitch a project. A post-panel Q&A allows students to engage with panelists and participants.
