Get ready to join our biggest event of the year! FAME Week doesn’t officially start until Monday, August 30, but we are kicking things off early starting with our pre-FAME Week celebration Breaking Down the Beat featuring Leon “Kwikstiks” Kittrell II and LARS Live. This is a special FAME Week edition of our regular LARS Live event and will showcase student creators from various degree programs. All events are open to students and alumni with a select few exclusive events requiring pre-registration via Student Connect. Pre-registration on Student Connect opens Thursday, August 19!

BRING THE BEAT WITH LEON “KWIKSTIKS” KITTRELL II
Did you know that a beat breakdown is one of the most important elements of a hit song? For this event, we invite performing artist Leon Kittrell II to break down famous beats over the years, as well as a few student-submitted songs. Infused with fun games like “Guess the Groove,” Leon will take us on a musical journey where we strip away the vocals and other instruments and focus solely on the drums & percussion of some of today’s biggest hits.

GOOGLE PRESENTS: RESUME BUILDING

TYPE TO DESTROY! INTERACTIVE MONSTER BATTLES WITH COREY DRAKE
In this live interactive presentation. Help Corey Drake, our 2021 Spotlight Inductee, control a battle between robots and monsters. You’ll be able to control DMX lighting output, special effects triggering, animatronic control that will trigger the destruction of iconic buildings that will reveal prizes that you can win.
