65th GRAMMYs: Alumni Work on Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, & Carlos Vives’ Albums

2023 GRAMMY Noms

The Music Industry’s Biggest Night Includes Our Very Own Alumni

Four alumni from The Los Angeles Film School contributed their talents to GRAMMY-nominated artists including Mary J. Blige (Good Morning Gorgeous), Christina Aguilera (Aguilera), and Carlos Vives (Cumbiana II). We proudly recognize Jaycen Joshua (audio 2003), Andrés Borda Zabala (Recording Arts 2011), Jhair Lazo (Recording Arts 2012), and Julio Ulloa (Recording Arts 2015) for their contributions including vocal engineering, immersive mix engineering and producing. The 65th GRAMMY Awards will air on Sunday, February 5 here in Los Angeles.

GRAMMY Buzz is swirling around Los Angeles in anticipation of who will win the Recording Academy’s biggest awards of the night. If the nominations are reliable indicators, Beyoncé may come out on top since she leads with nine nominations. However, she faces mega stars Harry Styles and Adele for Record Of The Year and Album Of The Year. This year’s show proves it will be a nail-biter for both audiences and nominees. Tune in at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on CBS to follow along.
