Behind The Sounds: A Recap

Behind The Sounds Is The Bright Beginning To A New Event Series On Campus

On May 8th, the Career Development Department, in collaboration with WAV LA, hosted the first Behind the Sounds event with none other than Aftermath Entertainment. Students and alumni were treated to a behind the scenes Q&A on the inner-workings of a major label studio. This event also allowed us to a shine a light on the unsung heroes behind some of today’s biggest artists, such as Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar and Anderson Paak.

Moderated by Zumo Kollie; panel guest speakers included: Jason Pounds “J.lbs,” music producer, Paul Montes, the Director of Studio Operations for Aftermath Entertainment, and Julio Ulloa, Lola Romero and Jhair Lazo, in-house audio engineers.
