CAREER DEVELOPMENT HOSTS POP-UP DONUT STAND

Students stopped by to enjoy delicious donuts and network with members of the Career Development team

A pop-up donut stand was hosted by the LAFS Career Development Department at both LAFS and LARS on January 24. Over 300 students got a chance to meet the Career Development team while receiving delicious Krispy Kreme donuts and complimentary coffee and water. This outreach by Career Development helped to introduce students to the services offered by CDD and encourage them to meet with their Advisors.

Angelia Bibbs-Sanders, the Sr. Director of the Career Development Department, teamed with Advisors James Barth and Blake Carpenter at LARS; they were joined by Industry Outreach rep Mark Cruz. Career Advisors Rachel Betts and Kevin Bannerman and Graduate Outreach reps Lynne Newton and Evan Abikzer were stationed at LAFS.

All reminded students to drop by and chat with their Advisors during CDD’s Open Door office hours, which are Tuesdays from 3-5PM and Wednesdays from 11AM – 1PM. Services offered by Career Development include guidance and information resume-writing, networking, mock interviews, internships and employment opportunities.
