“You should never be afraid of hard work as long as you get good results.”

As a production sound mixer, Phillip Bladh’s job on set is to get creative with the technical aspects of sound. Sound mixing is a huge part of what makes great sound in film possible. Capturing audio on set can be challenging due to unforeseen environmental components that can interfere with recordings. Phillip is a master at making the impossible possible. On Sound of Metal,  Phillip used his expertise to create a full sensory experience and let the audience hear both sides of Ruben’s hearing loss. Phillip has contributed his talents to many other films including C’mon C’mon starring Joaquin Phoenix and Destroyer starring Nicole Kidman. In 2022, Phillip signed on to the Warner Bros. live-action/animated hybrid film, Coyote Vs. Acme.
