Saturday, December 5, 2015

(Hollywood, CA) – December 1, 2015 – The Golden State Pops Orchestra’s acclaimed production “Holiday POPS Spectacular” returns this year with joyous music and high spirits. Celebrate the holiday season by joining Maestro Steven Allen Fox and the Golden State Pops Orchestra and Chorale (led by Choir Maestra Marya Basaraba) for a festive performance of timeless holiday film music. The concert will take place on December 5, 2015 at 8:00pm at the Warner Grand Theatre (478 W. 6th Street, San Pedro). For tickets and additional information visit www.GSPO.com or call 310-433-8774.

The “Holiday POPS Spectacular” will feature performances of John Williams’ score to Home Alone, Alan Silvestri’s score to Polar Express, and Bruce Boughton’s score to Miracle on 34th Street. Last year, Emmy® Award-winning and Academy® Award-nominated composer John Debney conducted his original score from Elf, and it was so well received that he is reprising it this year.

With a driving mission to create, develop and present innovative and fresh orchestral concerts, the Golden State Pops Orchestra (GSPO) is a pioneer in providing quality film music with a second life on the concert stage. GSPO’s inaugural film music concert was in 2002 with the downbeat of the Star Wars Main Title and has continued with over 100 film music scores being performed, often with the composer in attendance or conducting the orchestra.
