We asked Anthony what building blocks in his life led him to where he is now, and what motivates him every day.

What inspired you want to get involved in the entertainment industry?

I grew up in a musical family. My father had a record deal with Capitol Records, I had two aunts who were A&R executives, one with Arista and another with Capitol Records respectively. My grandfather was a jazz professional, so I guess you could say that entertainment pulse courses through my veins. The appetite to think, build and convey is something that has always been an affinity of mine, dating back to my childhood.

What have you learned from school that you are now applying in your professional life?
Fixating on quality, organization and professionalism sticks out the most. They’re definitely a part of my daily mantra.

What do you like about working in entertainment?
Nothing is ever the same.

What are some projects that you are proud to have worked on?
There are so many great causes out there but one that sticks out the most was working with one of my supporters at The Los Angeles Zoo. I was invited to take part in their Rainforest of Americas’ launch after creating writing music for their Sex and The City Zoo event (which was also promoted in the Newspaper). That opportunity allowed me to make friends and connect with the likes of Slash (Guns N Roses, Pauley Perrette), Actress Abby Sciuto on the U.S. TV series NCIS, former LA City Councilman Tom LaBonge and U.S Congressman Adam Schiff. Aside from meeting some really great people, it was great to connect with fellow animal activists.

What are some words of advice that you would give to new students entering the program?
My biggest advice is to soak it all up. Never take anything for granted. Hang on every word that your instructors are taking time to share with you.

What are some things that you are currently working on?
There are multiple projects that I am working on right now for TV networks (ABC, HBO, SHOWTIME, CBS, CINEMAX and Netflix). Our songs have been selected for the following shows: Madam Secretary (CBS), Love (Season 2, Netflix), Blindspot 120 (CBS), The Middle (ABC), Urban Cowboy (Fox Pilot that unfortunately was canceled), Outcast (Cinemax), Grace and Frankie (Season 2, Netflix), but in addition to those projects, I am working on building live shows for a couple of my artists at The Whisky A Go Go and a few other Venues. One of which is my artist Nicole Waters (who worked with Lady GaGa and Scott Enright, to name a few), whom we recently released a debut EP for on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and other sites. This is her first commercial release, post breast cancer. She was diagnosed with a rare type three-breast cancer and fought tooth and nail to overcome it. Her debut EP is entitled “Somewhere Deeper” which chronicles the ups and downs she experienced during that time. The lead single, “Fallin in Love” recently added to Pandora’s lineup, highlights a happier moment during her battle with cancer. www.facebook.com/itsnicolewaters. Aside from music, I am also opening up a Sports Management division within my company, Preston Bevrly Group and will look to expand our music publishing division (Preston Bevrly Music Publishing).

Anthony is hard at work in the industry, and the accolades continue to accumulate. His record label, Preston Bevrly Group is joining the RIAA, and he will soon be represented by major PR agent, Eileen Koch (of Eileen Koch Agency).
