This Wednesday, all alums are invited to our Industry Meeting and Mixer. In addition to networking and catching up with old friends, we will be noting the passing of LAFS Alum, Matt Villines, and honoring his memory and work.

A Tribute to LAFS Alumnus Matt Villines

One of our most accomplished and well-loved graduates, Matt Villines, tragically passed away on Saturday, July 9th following a year long battle with cancer at age 39. His remarkable filmmaking accomplishments and humble personality only add to the loss of a warm-hearted friend to all who knew him. In his absence, Matt has left us with a vast catalog of hysterical short films that shed light on his creative genius and meteoric rise as a storyteller. We celebrate Matt’s work on Wednesday August 24th, 2016 from 8p-10p at the Los Angeles Film School, in the Main Theater, Building 1.
