Recording Grad Andrew Medina Working as Audio Engineer

Drew Medina originally walked into an interview expecting to be apply for an internship, but instead walked out with a paying job. Hip hop and R&B indie label Diamond Cartel was in need of an in-house engineer to mix, master and record their artists and those coming into the studio. After showing the label boss Tommy B what he was capable of doing, Drew was brought on full time. A recording session was happening at the same time as the interview, and Drew was asked what he would do to make it better. Right away he noticed a distortion in the vocals and fixed the levels, amongst a variety of other tips and tricks he learned from instructors while in the recording program. Needless to say, Tommy was impressed and Drew was hired on the spot.
