L.A. Film School Alum Wins Emmy, Others Credited on 18 Emmy-Winning Productions

Graduates contributed to the success of The Studio, Hacks, and The Pitt, with producer Jesse Sternbaum earning an individual Emmy Award.
The Los Angeles Film School is celebrating an exceptional year at the 2025 Emmy Awards, with its alumni contributing to 18 wins across three highly praised series, including a record-setting performance by The Studio. This success highlights the talent and hard work of the school’s graduates in various producing, editing, design, and technical roles.
A key highlight of the night was the individual Emmy win for alumnus Jesse Sternbaum (Film 2004), a producer on the hit comedy series The Studio. Sternbaum was awarded a personal Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, a significant accomplishment that showcases the effectiveness of the school’s hands-on, industry-focused training. The Studio had a remarkable first season, winning a total of 13 Emmy awards, making it the most-winning freshman comedy series in history. Other L.A. Film School alumni on the team included furniture designer Adam Mull (Film 2005) and Additional 2nd Assistant Director Allen Aguilar (Film 2012), both of whom were integral to the show’s success.
The contributions of L.A. Film School graduates went beyond just one show. The acclaimed HBO comedy Hacks earned two Emmy Awards with the help of four alumni: Stephanie Goldstein (Film 2006) as Assistant Editor, Brice Bradley (Film 2008) as Gaffer, Yermin (Randy) Garcia (Film 2011) as Key Grip, and Jamiel VanOver (Film 2010) as First Assistant Camera.
Meanwhile, the medical drama The Pitt was honored with three Emmy wins, with L.A. Film School alumnus Alexander Jongbloed (Music Production 2017) credited as a Foley Mixer.
The strong presence at the 2025 Emmys is part of a larger pattern of alumni excellence. Leading into the ceremony, the school proudly announced that 32 of its alumni were credited on 22 nominated projects. This impressive number reinforces The Los Angeles Film School’s reputation for producing top-tier professionals who consistently set the standard for achievement in the entertainment industry. We are incredibly proud of our graduates, whose dedication and creativity are shaping the future of entertainment and building a shared Hollywood legacy for all future alumni of The Los Angeles Film School.
