Hannah Lux Davis

Hannah Lux Davis started directing music videos for undiscovered artists and doing other odd film jobs to build her reel after graduating from The L.A. Film School. She eventually studied cinema makeup to further expand her talents on set. The first break came from Republic Records who chose Hannah to direct the video Love Me for rappers Lil Wayne, Drake and Future in 2013. Things fell into place for Hannah’s career as a director, and she’s gone on to become one of the most talented female directors in Hollywood.

“I’m very much a collaborative director. So I lean on the people whom I bring on to do their jobs and make the whole thing come together. At the end of the day, it’s such a team effort and in no way is it a one-man sport.”

For more than a decade, Davis has transformed artists’ music into visual masterpieces. Hannah is an award-winning music video director known for her work with chart-topping pop icons like Ariana Grande, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj and Kacey Musgraves. Her distinct use of eye-catching colors and well-placed celebrity cameos in the videos she directs contributes to the virality of her work. The Recording Academy honored Hannah Lux Davis as one of its Women Architects of Sound in Music in 2018. Many of the music videos Hannah directed have won awards including MTV’s Best New Artist Video for Friends by Marshmello & Anne-Marie.
