Kylie Hazzard

Kylie Hazzard has carved out her space in the film industry. She started here at The L.A. Film School two months after graduating from high school in her home state of Wisconsin. Kylie grew up with a camera in hand and always had a passion for photography, which later translated into cinematography. She worked as a 1st AC (assistant camera) within a few months of studying film at The L.A. Film School. Kylie’s love of motion pictures radiates through her photography and film reel.

“A lot of the ASC members will consistently tell you…surround yourself with people who are so much better than you. That’s the only way you’re going to learn. If you put yourself out of your comfort zone and you are the least important person on the set, all you are going to do is learn.”

Kylie’s work is featured in National Geographic, The 405 and The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). She also worked as a technical specialist for Zeiss. Since graduating, Kylie got the opportunity to work with Panavision on a shoot to demonstrate a DXL2/LiveGrade update where she acted in a scene. “It’s not every day that your “prop” is a DXL2 with T-Series Anamorphic glass.
