As we reflect on Martin Luther King Jr.’s work as an activist, we encourage all of you reading this to spend MLK Day serving your own communities. Here at The Los Angeles Film School, we observe MLK Day as an official day off for students, staff and faculty. This is your time for reflection and service. If you are able to lend your time to the community, here are great service organizations to devote time to this MLK Day.
It’s a new year and we’re rolling right into awards season with the Golden Globes on Sunday, January 9. Congrats to the 13 alumni who worked on 11 nominated productions. Although this year’s award ceremony will not be televised or have an audience, we will be cheering on The L.A. Film School alumni network represented at the 79th annual Golden Globes.

This month we are searching for student musical artists, dancers, short films, and animators. AUDITIONS will be held on ZOOM on Monday the 10th and Wednesday the 12th. As we look forward to a brighter 2022, we are excited to have all Los Angeles Film School students return to campus in January. We reflect on the past year through the many milestones we’ve met, accomplishments achieved, and relationships strengthened.
