The pandemic hasn’t seemed to slow LAFS alumnus Flying Lotus down. Not only will his music be featured on the soundtrack of Netflix’s new anime series Yasuke out Thursday, April 29, but he’s also collaborating with Pitchfork on a new Sunday event series. Flying Lotus will DJ Lord Jones Sunday Bath Sessions, which takes place Sunday, May 2, at 8 p.m. EST.

In honor of the 93rd Academy Awards, LAFS covers the best costume design in film and TV. Costume design can be harnessed as a powerful and multifaceted tool in film, hinting at a character’s secret depths, true feelings and motivations, bringing a whole new dimension to character development.
