Last month, The Los Angeles Film School welcomed back two alumni, Jeff & Lauren Benjamin, to host a screening for Academy members of their latest film, “I Can’t Breathe.” The film is an intimate portrait of how the tragic death of George Floyd changed the world and sparked a powerful movement that defined a year of unprecedented social upheaval. “I Can’t Breathe” was announced as one of the 97th Academy Awards’ eligible films in the best documentary feature category. 

November of 2024 saw notable accomplishments of Los Angeles Film School alumni across different sectors of the entertainment industry. From Alyssa Ulrich and Damani Blair’s roles in Marvel’s Agatha All Along to Cynthia Hernandezgarcia’s production work on Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish, these graduates are putting their stamp on hit projects.

Dream of writing for television but feel lost on where to start? Have a stellar idea for a show but not sure of the first step?  To help jumpstart ideas and action, this fall, we are hosting the Cool Girl’s Guide to the Television Business, a seminar led by industry experts guiding the next generation of creatives on how to navigate the steps from plan to production.
